How Can I Help?

Become an Ambassador for IHNGK

  • Spread the word about IHNGK and encourage involvement in our mission. Introduce IHN to your community. IHNGK has a critical need for new Host and Support Congregations in order to maintain the current level of service. Many hands make light work.
  • Spread the word to families in need that IHNGK would like to help them in their time of crisis.

Pray for All Involved in IHNGK

Donate Time

  • IHNGK provides shelter 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Volunteers are always needed both at the Host Churches in the evening and overnight hours and at the Day Center during the day and especially on weekends.

Donate Talent

  • Register a professional or personal service that you are able to provide in IHN's Bank of Volunteer Services.

Donate Treasure

  • IHNGK depends on contributions and grants from member congregations, individuals, corporations, and the government to fund its activities. IHNGK is a 501c3 corporation. Contributions are tax deductible. Whether you are giving individually or corporately your gift makes a great difference.

  • In-Kind gifts are also invaluable to IHNGK. First Presbyterian Church provides the Day Center rent and utility free. St. Luke UMC provides a Transitional Housing Unit rent free. Host and Support congregations provide overnight shelter and nutritious meals year round. In addition individuals, church & civic groups and businesses supply IHN and its guests with many of their daily necessities and regularly support IHN fund raising events.

  • Transportation is often a critical unmet need with homeless families. The donation of a working vehicle could make the difference between dependency and self-sufficiency for many of our families.
